The Mommyhood Memos
Hi, I’m so glad you’re here.
Mommyhood Memo began as a quiet place to jot down the thoughts that often come to me between loads of laundry, during nap time, or in the carpool lane. It’s where I hold the fleeting, funny, frustrating, and faith-stretching moments of motherhood, not because I’ve figured it all out, but because I want to remember what God is teaching me in the middle of it all.
Since becoming a mom, my world has been turned completely upside down. The person I was before—patient, organized, maybe even a little proud—had no idea how deeply this role would shape and refine me. I yell more than I ever thought I would. I cry more, too.
But I also laugh deeper, love harder, and pray like I’ve never prayed before.
This blog is where I write down those memos—reminders of what really matters, reflections on what I’ve learned (and what I’m still learning), and encouragement for moms who feel like they’re drowning in the noise of modern motherhood.
Because let’s be honest:
The world is changing fast. And motherhood has changed with it.
We’re constantly told what a “good mom” looks like: from Pinterest-perfect playrooms to curated routines and never-ending to-do lists. But the more I lean into this journey, the more I realize:
The standard for motherhood isn’t set by culture. It’s set by the Creator.
“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.”
— Titus 2:3-5
A good mom isn’t perfect.
She isn’t performance-driven.
She is faithful. She is present. She is learning to love the way Christ loves.
This blog is my journey to becoming that kind of mom.
Not by my own strength, but through grace, surrender, and the truth found in God’s Word. I don’t always get it right, but I believe that motherhood is holy ground, and I want to steward it well.
So if you’re in the messy middle, if you’re trying to hold joy and exhaustion in the same hand, if you’re wondering what kind of impact you’re really making, welcome. You’re not alone here.
Let’s walk this road together, memo by memo.
For our kids. For our families. For His glory.
